Golf Licence Courses at the Arlberg

Discover the fascination of golf amidst the breathtaking alpine scenery of Lech. Under the expert guidance of a certified PGA Golf Professional, our golf course licence programmes provide the ideal introduction to the game, teaching you all the essential skills and knowledge required to play with confidence.

Combining practical training with theoretical instruction, the courses cover swing technique, rules of golf, etiquette and proper on-course behaviour. Our goal is not only to prepare you successfully for your golf course licence examination but also to give you the confidence and enjoyment to continue your golfing journey.

For the 2026 season, we offer two clearly structured programmes designed to meet different requirements:

1) Austrian & German Golf Course Licence Course
The classic route to obtaining the officially recognised course licence according to the regulations of the Austrian and German Golf Associations.

2) Swiss Golf Course Licence – Intensive Course
A compact and intensive programme designed for participants wishing to obtain the official Swiss golf course licence efficiently and successfully.

Austrian & German Golf Course Licence Course

Schedule: Weekly from 15 June to 27 September
Training Days: Monday to Thursday
4-day training programme (Monday–Thursday)

Included:

12 training sessions of 45 minutes each (minimum 4 participants)
If fewer than 4 participants register, the course is reduced by 3 sessions
Comprehensive training covering: Long game, Short game, Putting
Rules & etiquette
Theoretical and practical course licence examination
Rule and etiquette handbook (loan copy)
Practice balls and green fees included
Rental golf equipment available (€25 per day / €75 for the full course)

Optional Extras:

Afternoon on-course coaching including green fee
Additional coaching sessions at the driving range

Price: €590 per person

Private group courses are available upon request.

Swiss Golf Course Licence – Intensive 5-Day Programme

Schedule: Starting every first and third Monday of the month, from June until early October
Training Days: Monday to Friday

Included:

16 training sessions of 45 minutes each (3–4 participants)
If only 2 participants register, the course is reduced by 3 sessions
Two 9-hole rounds at Golf Club Zug/Lech
Comprehensive technical instruction including: Long game, Short game, Putting
Fundamentals of grip, stance and posture
Rules and golf etiquette training
Official Swiss Golf course licence examination in accordance with Swiss Golf Association (ASG) regulations
Rule and etiquette handbook (loan copy)
Practice balls and green fees included
Rental golf equipment available (€25 per day / €95 for the full course)
